Taragara Aborginal Corporation aims to:
- Be an Aboriginal culturally owned Aboriginal led enterprise.
- Improve, protect and foster Aboriginal priorities in relation to: Aboriginal Culture, Aboriginal Knowledge, Aboriginal Arts, Aboriginal Education, Aboriginal Research.
- Support knowledge transmission to future generations.
- Respect and prioritise the rights and intellectual property of Aboriginal Cultural Knowledge Holders and Country.
- Create opportunities to reconnect the Aboriginal Diaspora with Country.
- Create economic and promotional opportunities for Aboriginal Knowledge Holders, Artists, Community, Educators and Researchers in Regional and Remote Communities.
- Create a platform for cultural exchange, and a marketplace that will benefit Aboriginal Regional and Remote Communities.
- Deliver projects and programs that support the Aboriginal Community need for commemorating and memorializing living Aboriginal histories.
- Confront and debunk the deeply embedded intransigent racist mythology of coloniality in research and education.
- Combat racism and lateral violence in all communities and institutions.
- Advocate for Aboriginal Arts in Regional and Remote Communities.
- Foster networks and partnerships with Aboriginal communities and organizations.
- Operate and maintain a gift fund to be known as ‘The Taragara Aboriginal Corporation Gift Fund’ in accordance with the requirements of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
